• Irish Coins from 1660 to the Present. A brief discussion of each issue of Irish coins from Charles II to the decimal coins of today. There are links to pictures when I have them available.
  

• A chronology of events in United States coinage from 1770's through 1857. In the early years of the US, foreign coins were the most common form of specie. While the original law authorizing the mint in 1792 allowed for foreign coins to circulate as legal tender for 3 years, events prevented the U.S. from finally removing legal tender status from all foreign coins until 1857! The wheres and whys this happened are quite interesting, & will be the subject of future web pages. Until then, I'll hone my HTML skills on the chronology. I'll add images and tables throughout the page.
